Measured Size in Chrome on a computer

Measured Size is an extension: a small add-on that works inside Chrome. You add it once. Then, on any bra listing, one click shows your size in that store's own labels.

Add Measured Size to Chrome

Using Microsoft Edge or Brave? Follow the same steps there, from the same Chrome Web Store page. Edge asks first: click "Allow extensions from other stores".

  1. On your computer, open Measured Size on the Chrome Web Store.

The Chrome Web Store is Google's shop for extensions. Measured Size is free. Reading this on your phone? Do these steps on your computer: go to measuredsize.com/help there, or search for "Measured Size" in the store.

Open the Chrome Web Store page

The Chrome Web Store page for Measured Size, with its pink M icon and its name.
  2. Click "Add to Chrome".

The Measured Size page on the Chrome Web Store. The blue "Add to Chrome" button is outlined.
  3. Click "Add extension", the lighter button on the left.

Chrome asks this for every extension. It says Measured Size can "Read and change your data on all gap.com sites and www.target.com": those two stores load their sizes as the page opens, so it is allowed to look there. Everywhere else it reads a page only when you click its button, and it sends nothing anywhere.

Chrome asks: Add "Measured Size"? It can read and change your data on gap.com and target.com. "Add extension" is outlined, next to the blue "Cancel".

Put its button where you can see it

Chrome keeps a new extension behind the puzzle-piece button at the top right. Pinning Measured Size keeps its own button there, so it is one click away.

  1. Click the puzzle-piece button at the top right of Chrome.

The top right of Chrome. The puzzle-piece button is outlined.
  2. Click the pin, the small thumbtack, at the right of "Measured Size".

Click the pin, not the name. Chrome also says "Access requested" here; you can leave that as it is.

Chrome's Extensions list, with Measured Size under "Access requested". The thumbtack pin beside it is outlined, with Chrome's label "Pin".
  3. Find the Measured Size button: a pink square with an M, next to the puzzle piece.

It stays there from now on.

The top right of Chrome, with the pink M button now beside the puzzle piece. The M button is outlined.

Enter your measurements

  1. Click the Measured Size button.

The first time, it asks for two measurements. You only do this once.

The Measured Size box open below its button, with "New here? How to use" and "How do I measure?". The M button is outlined.
  2. Measure your underbust and your bust.

Use a soft tape measure. Click "How do I measure?" in the box to see where, with a drawing for each.

The "How do I measure?" part of the box: a drawing for each measurement, the underbust snug around the ribcage and the bust around the fullest part.
  3. Type the two numbers in the "Underbust" and "Bust" boxes.

If you measured in centimeters, click "cm" at the top of the box first. Decimals are fine.

The box, with 32 typed for underbust and 38 for bust. The two boxes are outlined.
  4. Click "Save measurements".

It says "Measurements saved" for a moment. If you are already on a bra's page, your size shows straight away.

The same box. The "Save measurements" button is outlined.

See your size on a bra listing

  1. Open a bra's own page in a store, like Macy's, Target or a brand's shop.

A page for one bra, with its sizes, not a page of search results.

A bra's page at Macy's in Chrome, with the pink M button at the top right.
  2. Click the Measured Size button.

The Measured Size box open over the bra's page at Macy's, showing a size. The M button is outlined.
  3. Read your size.

The big size is the one to choose on this listing, in the store's own labels. The rest of the box is explained on Reading the card. Click anywhere on the page to close it.

The Measured Size box: the bra's name, "Recommended size" 32DDD, "Best Match", "Your size, in stock here", "This size is in stock" and "Show me on the page".
  4. Click "Show me on the page" to find your size on the store's page.

The box closes, and Measured Size outlines your size on the page for a few seconds. It never picks a size for you.

The Measured Size box. "Show me on the page" is outlined.
  5. Look for the outline around your size on the page.

The store may cross out a band until you pick the cup: that is the store's own page.

Macy's band and cup buttons, with band 32 and cup DDD outlined by Measured Size.

That's it. On every bra listing, click the Measured Size button.
